Job summary

Luxborough Court School in Essex is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to cover maternity for a year. You will join a multi-disciplinary clinical team supporting educational and residential staff to deliver therapeutic living and learning environments for autistic and complex needs pupils.

Expect a comprehensive clinical development programme, supervision, and a strong emphasis on professional growth within a well-resourced setting.

Qualifications

  • Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
  • Specialist with proven skills to deliver therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
  • Experience in supporting teams to provide clinically informed living and learning environments.
  • Be a confident, engaging and effective model, guide, leader and trainer.
  • Be highly organised and proactive.
  • Be committed to achieving the best outcomes for young people.

Job description

This role is based at Luxborough Court School to cover maternity for a year.

Luxborough Court School is an independent specialist day school providing high quality education for boys and girls. Based in Essex, the school meets the needs of pupils with a primary diagnosis of autism or with a clear evidence of being on the autism pathway.

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise andbreadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.

Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC

Be a confident, engaging and effective, model, guide, leader and trainer.
