An educational support provider is seeking a dedicated Speech & Language Support Teaching Assistant in Southall to support pupils with speech, language, and communication needs. The ideal candidate will help boost learners' confidence and communication skills through 1:1 or small group sessions. Applicants should have experience in similar roles and be able to provide a calm, positive presence. A valid Enhanced DBS is required for this important role.

We’re looking for a patient, supportive, and switched-on Speech & Language Support TA to work across inclusive primary schools in Lambeth. You’ll play a vital role in helping pupils with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) access learning, build their confidence, and develop essential skills.
You don’t need to be a speech therapist—but you do need empathy, consistency, and a love for helping children find their voice.
1:1 or small group sessions focusing on communication development
Supporting pupils with speech delays, processing needs, or social language skills
Liaising with SENCOs, speech therapists, and teachers to deliver personalised support
Encouraging verbal interaction, vocabulary use, and communication strategies
Has experience supporting pupils with SLCN or related needs
Brings calm, positive energy to their support role
Is confident using visuals, routines, and communication tools
Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service – or is happy to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
