Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration or relevant professional experience in speech, language and communication support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and learner-centred approach.
• Experience supporting young people with SEND is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A genuine passion for helping learners achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Assessing learners' speech, language, and communication needs.
• Developing and delivering tailored support plans and interventions.
• Supporting learners with communication, social interaction, and independence skills.
• Providing guidance and practical strategies to teaching staff and support teams.
• Working collaboratively with EHCP coordinators and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records.
• Contributing to annual reviews and EHCP outcomes where appropriate.
• Promoting inclusive learning environments that support learner success.
• Supporting learners to build confidence, self-advocacy, and independence.
