An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 3 Speech and Language Therapy assistant to join the team of Speech and Language therapists in Cambridgeshire.
As a Band 3 Speech and Language Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting qualified Speech and Language Therapists in delivering care to individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping others, especially adults with complex needs, and who thrives in a collaborative, community-focused environment.
Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Please confirm in your application that you meet the specified criteria.
The post holder will be responsible for assisting the speech and language therapists in their clinical and administrative work. The post holder will carry out speech and language therapy programmes with adult patients with speech, language, and swallowing difficulties under the supervision of a qualified speech and language therapist. The programmes may be carried out on an individual or group basis at various locations including community hospitals, nursing/residential homes, and patients’ homes.
