Job summary

Speech and Language Therapy Apprentice

Fixed term 4 years

CLCH Academy has partnered with the University of Hertfordshire to deliver this exciting 4-year apprenticeship program. During the program, you will gain a wide range of knowledge and clinical skills in various settings while undertaking a BSc (honours) degree. Successful completion leads to registration as a Speech and Language Therapist with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Main duties of the job

This is a developmental role for those already working within Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

Applicants must demonstrate significant experience of working in a clinical healthcare environment and have successfully completed any probation period.

The apprentice will work towards progressing into the post of Speech and Language Therapist through the successful completion of the Speech and Language Therapy apprenticeship, including the attainment of a level 6 BSc (honours) degree.

The apprenticeship combines academic and work-based learning through collaboration between employers and education providers. As an apprentice, you will have a primary base in a specific organization but will undertake placements in various settings to gain broad experience in health and care contexts.

Responsibilities

Aged over 18 on the first day of the program.

Must have been an ordinary resident in the UK for at least 3 years; visas must cover the full length of the apprenticeship without renewal.

Right to work and study in England.

UK Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent (functional skills Level 2, GCSE C or above, O level C or above).

Equivalent Level 3 qualifications with at least 120 UCAS points, including a science or healthcare subject.

Additional notes: You will need to present original certificates at interview; overseas qualifications require a UK NARIC/ENIC statement of comparability.
