A leading NHS trust in London is looking for a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to manage a caseload in the stroke in-patient ward and Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to research and teaching while providing support to patients with various neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will have postgraduate experience in adult neurosciences and excellent communication skills.
We require a 0.9 WTE Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) with postgraduate experience in adult neurosciences to work on the stroke in-patient ward and Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit at NHNN to cover maternity leave for 11 months from mid January 2026.
The predominant caseload will be stroke and patients with a range of acute, chronic and progressive speech, language and swallowing disorders. You will join a team of SLTs with a well-established system for formal and informal support and clinical/professional supervision. The SLT service has a high profile within the multidisciplinary range of services provided. The post offers opportunities to use adult neuro clinical skills and contribute to research and teaching programmes within this highly specialised patient population.
