Job Description:

We are looking for Children’s Speech and Language Therapists with experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs in their educational settings.

• Children’s Speech and Language Therapists will work with early years and school aged children, in their educational settings, as part of our Special Educational Needs (SEND) Therapies team in West Essex.

• The SEND Therapies team will work alongside our Community Therapies Team and support the Therapy needs of children with Education and Health Care Plans, as a result of their complex needs/speech, language and communication difficulties.

• Therapists will work with educational professionals (SENCOs, LSAs and teachers) in setting goals and providing Therapy plans, to integrate within their daily curriculum, as specified in the child’s EHCP. This will include attending Annual Review meetings, updating reports, liaising with parents/carers and providing training, as appropriate.

• Core service to be provided during school hours with flexible hours possible. Candidates must be able to drive and have their own transport
