About the job: Speech and Language Therapist (ASD)

Position: Speech and Language Therapist (ASD)

Due to growth within the team, our client is looking for a Senior Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join their supportive team to undertake Autism diagnostic assessments in the Preston, South Ribble, and Chorley area.
Our client supports individuals aged 0-25 years directly and through others, using high-quality, evidence-based approaches to maximize impact where they live and learn.

The Role: This is an exciting and valuable role. The successful candidate will support assessment and interventions for children. This includes undertaking assessments for children on the Autistic diagnostic assessment pathway, writing reports following DSM-5 criteria, and supporting decisions as part of the Multi-disciplinary team. Services are mainly delivered within Family Hubs, through home visits, and in educational settings, often involving collaboration with parents, carers, and the Multi-agency team.

Requirements:

• Qualified/Registered Speech and Language Therapist with 2 or more years of experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
• Experience working with CYP and ASD.
• Trained in ADOS/ADR-I, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in report writing and record keeping.
• Responsible for own caseload and a defined area of the service, working independently.
