Speech and Language Therapist Band 6 Job Opportunity within Adults and Elderly in Newham, UK, offering an attractive pay rate of £28.52 per hour. What you will do:

  1. Tend to increasing waiting lists and urgent swallowing referrals, especially those with palliative care needs, providing timely and effective care.
  2. Deliver specialist speech and language therapy to adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans.
  4. Provide guidance and support to patients, families, and caregivers regarding communication strategies.
  5. Conduct assessments and develop targeted therapy plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  6. Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:

  1. Hold a degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy with HCPC registration.
  2. Demonstrate recent post-qualifying experience as a Speech and Language Therapist within the UK/NHS.
  3. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
  4. Exhibit the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
