Band 5 Adult Speech and Language Therapy
Are you graduating as an SLT this summer and keen to work with adults across a range of clinical settings? Or are you a qualified SLT looking for a different opportunity? If so, we have a post for you here in beautiful North West Wales! You will develop independence in your clinical practice with communication difficulties and dysphagia through working with a range of patients across acute and community sites.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
In this role, you will be able to develop and explore your own clinical interests across adult services. We will support you with regular appraisals, management, clinical supervision, and a strong focus on continued professional development, including developing your independent dysphagia competencies through our All Wales competency framework if needed. We have a newly qualified practitioner support group and a robust system to support you in achieving your NQP competencies.
We will welcome you into our friendly, supportive, and experienced team of SLTs and TIs, working across acute, community, and ALD services in North West Wales. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we develop increasing remote and digital therapies, work within multidisciplinary teams to transform health and social care for adults, and develop newly re-modelled stroke services across the region. It has never been a better time to be an AHP in Wales, with increasing government funding for new and expanding roles, and AHPs—including SLTs—working within government to transform our services for the future. We would love you to join us! Please get in touch with any questions or to arrange an informal visit to meet the team.
If you relish a challenge, have a passion to help others, or simply fancy a fresh start, then Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales has all the right ingredients. The National Health Service (NHS) is the publicly-funded healthcare system of the United Kingdom. It was founded on principles of being comprehensive, universal, and free at the point of delivery—services are based on clinical need, not ability to pay. It provides a wide range of health services free at the point of use for residents of the UK, excluding dental and optical care.
