What you will do:

1. Conduct assessments and formulation of evidence-based intervention plans to support adults with varying communication needs.
2. Implement therapy programs to aid functional communication skills development for adults with learning disabilities.
3. Facilitate staff training programs, empowering colleagues to enhance communication environments and utilise visual communication aids effectively.
4. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting progress and ongoing needs.
5. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for all individuals.

Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:

1. Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration is essential.
2. Recent UK or NHS post-qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
3. Must be a car driver with the ability to travel to various sites within Walsall/Birmingham.
4. Comfortable working part-time, providing 2-3 days a week of focused SaLT support.
