Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join our bank team across Royal Park, Jubilee Court and Elizabeth Court. The role focuses on assessing, diagnosing and treating speech, language and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages.

The ideal candidate will hold HCPC registration and bring up-to-date knowledge of speech therapy techniques. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to create tailored treatment plans and help improve patient

Qualifications

• HCPC registration required.
• Proficient in speech therapy practices and techniques.
• Knowledge of physiology related to speech production and communication processes.
• Familiar with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology.
• Understanding of anatomy as it pertains to the respiratory system, vocal cords, and oral structures involved in communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
• Strong organisational skills for managing caseloads and delivering quality care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessment results.
• Provide therapy sessions to patients using evidence-based techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care and rehabilitation goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans and progress notes.

Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

Contract: 5 hours per week across our 3 complex nursing homes - Royal Park (WV2 2BL), Jubilee Court (WV14 9EJ) and Elizabeth Court (DY4 7PS)

Salary: £70 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team on a bank basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of speech therapy techniques and be committed to helping individuals improve their communication skills. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. The Speech Therapist will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop tailored treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
