Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (Agency Role)
Location: Wexham Park Hospital, Slough
Pay Rate: £28.08 per hour (PAYE inclusive) / £31ph LTD
Contract Type: Long-Term NHS Agency Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Part time (Monday to Friday, flexible hours considered)
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join the therapy team at Wexham Park Hospital on a long-term agency contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic NHS environment, supporting patients with a wide range of communication and swallowing needs.
Role Summary:
The successful candidate will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adult inpatients and/or outpatients with communication and/or swallowing disorders, working as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with speech, language, and swallowing difficulties
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans
Collaborate with medical, nursing, and therapy teams to deliver holistic care
Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Trust policies and HCPC standards
Contribute to service development and participate in clinical supervision

Essential Requirements:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
NHS experience working at Band 6 level or equivalent
Strong clinical skills in adult communication and dysphagia management
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UK
