Job summary

Newcastle University currently partners with Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist. The role requires a recognised SLT degree, HCPC registration, and RCST membership. A valid driver’s licence is also essential for travel between Trust sites.

The post-holder will be expected to work across multiple sites and contribute to evidence-based practice, with opportunities to collaborate with education and early years partners.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
• HCPC registration/ Licence to Practice is required.
• Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.

Responsibilities

• The post holder will work across sites within the Trust.
• Provide speech and language therapy assessments and interventions as part of patient care.

Essential Criteria:

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience of working within the Paediatric SLT field
• Experience of working in partnership with Education and Early Years partners

The post holder will be required to work at sites across the Trust.
