Job description

My client is recruiting a locum Speech and Language Therapist for their Independent Specialist Day School in Rugby, Warwickshire.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary clinical team of 10 on-site professionals, including Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and other specialists. The setting is an Outstanding-rated school with 108 pupils, all presenting with a range of SaLT needs.

About the role:

  • Speech and Language Therapist
  • Full time, Monday - Friday
  • *Rate is negotiable* Please submit your CV alongside your required rate
  • Located in Rugby, Warwickshire

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist SALT advice and guidance to young people's plans including behaviour plans, teaching plans, risk assessments and EHCPs.
  • Manage a caseload for individual intervention, providing specialist SALT input to young people and teams in educational settings.
  • Provide specialist knowledge of SALT principles and techniques through consultation and guidance to other colleagues.

Requirements:

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Postgraduate experience working within a school setting.
