An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join a dynamic team within Health and Justice Services. This role involves providing maternity cover in the Secure Outreach Transitions Team, where you will work closely with adults facing mental health challenges and learning disabilities. An exciting 12 months fixed term opportunity has arisen within Health and Justice Services for a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to provide maternity cover into the Secure Outreach Transitions Team. Fixed term post may be extended if funding becomes available.
The post holder will be part of a dynamic SLT service in Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, with well defined peer support, supervision systems and CPD opportunities.
The post holder will have some experience working with service users in mental health or learning disabilities and experience of working with people in forensic services would be desirable.
This post will be based with the Secure Outreach Transitions Team based at Roseberry Park Hospital in Middlesbrough.
You will be expected to work Monday - Friday. Flexible hours will be considered. The post will be to commence as soon as possible with a period of induction and training.
The post will be subject to Police/Prison vetting.

Working with the multi disciplinary team supporting adults with learning disability and autism with a forensic history. The SLT will complete communication assessments and provide therapy as well as advising on communication reasonable adjustments.
