The post is based on the acute stroke unit. The successful candidate will be supported to complete their dysphagia and newly qualified practitioner competencies and will be provided the opportunity to develop expertise in videofluoroscopy, as appropriate.
Our team has a passion for quality improvement, and we are looking for someone enthusiastic about service development. We offer regular peer support, clinical supervision, CPD, and team meetings. The successful candidate will have ample opportunities to be involved in audits, teaching & training, and other service promotion projects.
The post-holder will receive direct supervision and support from a senior SLT working in the same clinical specialism.

This is a full-time post within the adult Speech & Language Therapy Team, providing services to adult inpatients within the Trust. The post holder will work towards becoming an autonomous practitioner, providing Speech and Language Therapy services to the stroke unit at West Middlesex University Hospital.
The post holder will be supported to manage a caseload of adult inpatients independently, providing advice on swallowing and communication. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to collaborative work with patients, carers, and colleagues.
The post holder will participate in team meetings, working parties, and departmental/audit activities. They will be expected to deliver training within the hospital to other professionals, patients, and carers.
