The post holder will be part of the extended ECASS multi-professional team working in Additional Resource Provisions, Units and in Mainstream Primary/Secondary schools. The aims of ECASS are to:

  • Improve provision for pupils with speech, language and communication needs, by providing ARP/Unit and whole school training in good practice frameworks, enhancing pupils’ school experience and providing access to speech, language and communication tools.
  • Deliver consistent key messages supporting early speech, language, and communication support through the work programme and resources, emphasizing that ‘communication is everybody’s business’.
  • Promote early intervention for speech, language, and communication needs across Enfield schools, ensuring children and young people access communication-friendly environments and practitioners are confident in facilitating communication. The role includes identifying SLCN and supporting parents and carers with resources.
