Job Opportunity: Speech and Language Therapist

We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join a dedicated special school in Chelmsford. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary and provides a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on students with diverse communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored speech and language therapy sessions to meet the needs of individual students.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive support plan.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, adapting interventions as needed.
• Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress.
• Provide guidance and training to staff to promote effective communication strategies within the school.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment to help students achieve their potential.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the well-being and development of students.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
