A leading council in the UK is seeking an experienced paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join their expanding Education and Inclusion Therapy team. Are you an experienced paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) who is ready to take the next step in your career within an expanding and supportive team of Therapists? Do you want to work with children and young people in educational settings while engaging in mentoring, continuous professional development (CPD), and supervision to acquire specialist skills in areas such as SEMH, Complex Needs, Learning Difficulties, Autism, or Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)?
We offer exciting opportunities for SaLTs to enhance their clinical skills through a comprehensive development programme within an innovative, supportive, and outcome-focused school-based SaLT Service, with excellent supervision and CPD opportunities. Whether you are a Band 5/6 equivalent Therapist with experience in NHS, local authority, or private education services, and are seeking to progress and grow, our supportive team is the place for you.
Our expanding Education and Inclusion Therapy team includes Occupational Therapists (OTs) specialising in Sensory Integration. We serve all mainstream and special schools and colleges across Hampshire County Council. You will collaborate with other professionals in the team to provide integrated support for children and young people (CYP). The therapy service is part of Hampshire’s local SEND offer and works alongside teams such as Educational Psychology, Hampshire Inspector and Advisory Service, Primary Behaviour Service, Youth Justice Team, and the SEN Service. We maintain a close partnership with the NHS Therapy Service (SaLT, OT, and Physio), fostering collaborative working and cross-service development.
Joining the Education and Inclusion (E&I) Therapy Service will give you opportunities to work across various specialist areas and settings within the county. You will have access to our specialist clinical groups to support your professional development and understanding.
