Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking Speech and Language Therapists to join our Dundee teams on rotational Band 5 posts within a supportive Adult acquired SLT service. You will consolidate learning and gain experience across settings, rotating between Royal Victoria Hospital and Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Assessment, planning and rehabilitation for a range of communication difficulties will be required. You must be HCPC registered.

We have vacancies for Speech and language Therapists (SLT) to join our teams in Dundee. Our rotational posts offer the opportunity for a Speech & Language Therapist to consolidate their learning and gain experience working within a supportive Adult acquired speech and language therapy service.

The postholders will rotate between the SLT department at Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) and Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. You will gain experience working within the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit in Ninewells Hospital, the Stroke and Neuro Rehabilitation Unit (SNRU) in RVH and with a generalist outpatient service in Dundee. Assessment, planning and rehabilitation for a range of communication difficulties will be required.

You will join a small, very supportive team of experienced therapists and work closely with our SLT support workers and the wider MDT. Professional development is supported and all newly qualified therapists are supported to complete the Flying Start Programme and to meet the RSCLT competencies. We provide regular supervision sessions including a band 5 peer supervision group. A flexible work pattern of a 9 day fortnight is available.

You must be HCPC registered.
