Speech and Language Therapist (Part Time)

Remedy Education is working closely with a new SEN school in Brent to appoint an experienced Speech and Language Therapist. This is a part-time position within a small, supportive team where you can make a genuine difference. The school caters for pupils aged 7-16 who are all verbal, largely independent, and diagnosed with autism. Some pupils present with behavioural challenges, but class sizes are small, allowing for a focused and individualised approach. The school is at an early stage of development, so this is an opportunity to help shape its provision from the ground up.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering tailored speech and language programmes.
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff to integrate communication strategies across the school day.
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback for staff, parents, and other professionals.
  • Offering guidance and training to colleagues so that strategies are consistent and effective.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Holds a recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Has experience of supporting children and young people with autism.
  • Can demonstrate strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to set measurable goals.
