Job summary

Pertemps Medical Professionals are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a new paediatric ASD assessment service in Chester. You will work alongside a Clinical Psychologist to deliver high-quality ASD assessments for children using ADOS.

The role focuses on nursery- and school-aged children, with an expected caseload of about five patients per day and a Monday start date. A valid indemnity insurance and Cerner familiarity are preferred.

NEW OUTSIDE IR35 CONTRACT – SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST

Location: Chester | £500 per day (Ltd Company) | Start Date: Monday 9th November 2026

We are delighted to be supporting our client with the launch of a new Paediatric Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessment and Diagnosis Insourcing Service in Chester.

We are seeking experienced, reliable and committed Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) to join this exciting new service, working collaboratively with Clinical Psychologists to deliver high-quality, one-stop ASD assessments and diagnostic services for children.

Key Details

• Location: Chester
• Start date: Monday 9th November 2026
• Day rate: £500 per day via Ltd company
• IR35 status: Outside IR35
• Working days: Weekdays only, with Monday availability essential
• Insurance: Valid professional indemnity insurance required
• Clinical system: Cerner

The Role

As part of this specialist service, you will work alongside a Clinical Psychologist on the same day to assess children and contribute to the diagnostic process using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS).

The service will focus on nursery- and school-aged children, with an expectation of approximately five patients per day.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with relevant paediatric experience.
• Experience in, or a strong understanding of, autism assessments and the ADOS assessment process.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Clinical Psychologists within a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid professional indemnity insurance.
• Familiarity with clinical documentation systems; experience using Cerner would be beneficial.
• Reliable, professional and able to commit to the agreed service dates.
• Availability on Mondays is essential. Please also confirm your availability across the remaining weekdays (Tuesday to Friday).
