Our 14-bed residential service provides tailored, person-centred rehabilitation care plans aimed at maximising independence and recovery. We specialise in post-acute rehabilitation and manage long-term neurological conditions, emphasising therapy, care, and quality of life. What you'll be working:

This role is 15 hours per week, with days and times to be agreed. We understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.

What you'll be doing:
  • Provide assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders
  • Devise evidence-led therapy programmes at a specialist level, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary working to achieve the best outcomes for our patients
  • Maintain high standards of clinical care in line with national guidance for excellence
  • Serve as a Named Therapist, ensuring seamless coordination of therapy by facilitating cohesive goal setting, interdisciplinary collaboration, and well-structured discharge planning
  • Develop your skills in clinical supervision and informal mentoring of Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and students
  • Participate in internal training (induction, mandatory training, MDT in-service)
  • Ensure all relevant codes of practice and regulations are upheld
  • Participate in service delivery audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights
What you'll have:
  • HCPC registration
  • Previous experience (or a strong interest) in neurological rehabilitation
  • An excellent interpersonal worker, maintaining consistent and effective workplace relationships
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and creativity
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
