Job Description:

Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

Salary: £30,000 - £48,000 pro rata - Term Time Only plus two weeks worked in the school holidays

Hours: 24hrs, 3 days 8.30am - 4.30pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only, plus two weeks worked in the school holidays. There may be scope for this role to be a full-time contract (52 weeks); please get in touch to discuss.

Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle required

About the role

This role offers an opportunity to develop our Speech and Language Therapy services, working alongside the Lead Clinician, Clinical Locality Lead, and Head of Speech and Language Therapy.

We seek a candidate experienced in implementing preventative interventions at a systems level with a whole-school approach. Newly qualified clinicians are considered. The role involves collaborating with education staff and other clinical disciplines to maximize impact for students.

You will manage a speech and language therapy caseload, contribute to staff training and consultation, and provide information and training to staff, commissioners, and agencies as needed. The role requires a resilient, enthusiastic individual with a creative therapeutic approach, decision-making skills, and workload management abilities.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Speech and Language Therapy degree
  • Registered with HCPC and RCSLT or RCOT
  • 1-2 years' experience as a fully registered RCSLT member in a similar setting
  • Clear, concise report writing skills
  • Ability to work independently under supervision
  • Experience working within multi-professional teams
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
