Job summary

A construction consulting company is seeking experienced Civil Engineers for contract positions in London. You will support multidisciplinary projects, manage technical staff, and contribute to the planning and delivery of infrastructure designs. Strong technical background and willingness to travel are essential. Opportunities for chartership are available, along with contract terms of 3 months or more with competitive pay.

Qualifications

  • Chartership or working towards chartership in relevant field.
  • Demonstrable track record in Highways, Utilities or Sustainable Drainage.
  • Ability to deliver in a technical specialism.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of multidisciplinary projects.
  • Orchestrate and direct technical staff, assist junior team members.
  • Prepare and review technical reports and specifications.
  • Be part of the work-winning team securing project pipeline.

Overview

Is your current contract coming to an end? Perhaps you’re looking for your next contract position.

We are interested in speaking with Civil Engineers who work on a contract basis. As we grow closer to the end of the year many clients are looking for contractors to join their firms to support deadlines and general workflow whether it be for the short or long term.

Contracts can be from 3 months+ and be inside & outside IR35 rates.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, balancing demands and priorities, whilst reviewing civil infrastructure design, from project proposition through to construction.
  • Help orchestrate and direct technical staff, with responsibility for contributing to planning team workload, as well as assisting and mentoring more junior team members.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports, specification and schedules.
  • Applying customer focus you will be part of the work winning team securing the groups project pipeline.
What you need to succeed
  • Chartership with the relevant body or working towards chartership
  • Technical background in infrastructure design, with a demonstrable track record of delivering a technical specialism in a core infrastructure discipline (Highways, Utilities or Sustainable Drainage).
  • A willingness to travel, and desire to lead continuous quality improvement in our work.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Civils 3D and MicroDrainage.
