What’s on offer?

Our apprenticeship scheme provides a pathway to a rewarding career in a fantastic company, with the benefit of earning a full-time wage. You’ll spend 15-18 months in a paid role, learning your trade alongside our friendly, passionate, and highly experienced team who will support you every step of the way.

• Salary - £7.75 an hour
• Full-time hours - 38.75 hours over 5 days, including weekends

Your on-the-job training will be complemented by structured learning, and upon completing the 15-18 months, you’ll become a fully qualified Level 3 Spectacle Maker.

Who is this Apprenticeship for?

If this sounds like a good fit, you should have the following skills to start as a Spectacle Apprentice:

• A grade 9-4 (A*-C) GCSE in Maths (or equivalent/predicted result)
• Resided in the EU for 3 years or more with the right to work in the UK

What does the role involve?

Day-to-day, you will assist in producing customer glasses from scratch, interpreting optical prescriptions and drawings, correcting faults, re-assembling glasses, carrying out testing and adjustments, and preparing materials and equipment. Ensuring the highest quality standards in your work is essential.
