Job summary

Cranswick Gourmet Sausage in Hull is seeking a meticulous Specifications Writer to ensure customer specifications, artwork, pack copy and technical documentation are accurate and delivered on time.

You will manage specification systems (including Dimaco), support product launches, audits, and site visits, and keep allergen matrices and quality docs up to date while collaborating with Technical, NPD, Process, and Customer teams.

Qualifications

• Experience writing specifications within a food manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of food labelling legislation and retailer requirements.
• Experience using retailer specification systems and web-based platforms.
• Food labelling qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining customer and internal specifications.

At Cranswick Gourmet Sausage, we produce premium British sausages and food products for some of the UK's biggest retailers. We're looking for a detail-focused and motivated Specifications Writer to ensure customer specifications, artwork, pack copy, and technical documentation are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.

What you'll be doing:
