Job summary

Cranswick Gourmet Sausage Co. (Lazenby’s) in Hull is seeking a motivated Product Developer to support NPD and EPD projects from concept through to launch.

You will work closely with site teams and customers to deliver high-quality products on time, develop knowledge of food products and manufacturing processes, and manage multiple projects. The ideal candidate holds a degree in a food-related subject, has 6 months to 2 years’ experience in a similar field, and possesses a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a food-related subject.
• Experience in NPD/EPD processes is desirable.
• Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Cranswick Gourmet Sausage Co. (Lazenby’s) is our fast-paced sausage facility located in Hull. Using only the best cuts of British pork, fresh herbs and spices, Cranswick are the UK’s leading producer of gourmet sausages and burgers, supplying major retailers and foodservice outlets alike.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate Product Developer to join our NPD Team. In this role, you will support the development and delivery of both NPD and EPD projects from concept through to launch. Working closely with site teams and customers, you will help ensure products are delivered successfully, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

What we're looking for:

• Degree or equivalent in food related subject
• A strong understanding of the NPD & process built from 6 months to 1-2 years’ experience within a similar field
• Full valid driving license
• Passion for food and product development
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• A proactive and results-driven approach
