About the Role
We are looking for a detail-driven Specifications Technologist to join our Innovation & NPD team in Carlisle. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse product range, supporting both new product development and ongoing product integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, complete, and manage customer product specifications to meet agreed deadlines Collaborate with Technical and NPD teams to ensure specifications accurately reflect manufacturing processes Organise and maintain documentation including raw material and finished product specs, nutritional data, and compliance reports Review and approve packaging artwork to ensure legal and customer labelling compliance Stay up to date with market trends and ensure technical standards are maintained in line with business and customer expectationsAbout You
This role is ideal for a someone with a factory-based technologist background, or a graduate with a relevant degree and a year in industry. You'll need strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to thrive during seasonal peaks.
Key Skills
Experience in a similar role within food manufacturing or a related technical role Ideally qualified in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline Excellent attention to detail and confidence managing technical data and documentation Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and commercial teams Food Safety and Health & Safety qualifications (Level 2) desirableWorking Hours
Onsite Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm 40 hours per weekBenefits
