Greencore in Sheffield is seeking a Specification Specialist to set up external specifications, review artwork, and ensure compliance with retailer requirements. This 12-month fixed-term role supports our packaging and regulatory teams and involves developing gold standard material specifications and documenting processes.

You should have HND or equivalent, Level 2 food hygiene and health and safety certificates, and experience with retailer web-based specification systems.

Qualifications

• Ideally educated to HND level or equivalent professional qualification.
• Holds a level 2 food hygiene and a level 2 health and safety certification.
• Experience working with computers and experienced in using web-based customer specification systems.
• Knowledge and experience of writing specifications for retailers in food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of legal labelling legislation and application.
• Knowledge and experience of variety of retailer own web-based systems.

Responsabilités

• Set up approval for external specifications and relevant technical information in accordance with customer requirements.
• Review copy artwork, in line with updated customer technical and labelling policies, and include all regulatory changes that will impact on the accuracy of the pack information and labelling.
• Document procedures to ensure that internal and customer compliance is met, and the relevant process development practices are adopted.
• Reviewing raw material specification content to develop “gold standard” specifications for each raw material to improve compliance.
• Validation of specifications and processes to identify synergies and scope for consolidation through a continuous improvement process.
• Operate in compliance with Health Safety and Environment policy to ensure that the working environment remains safe for all colleagues.

What You’ll Be Doing
