The role is Hybrid and you will be based from one of our Midlands sites (ie. Brackley). Working hours will be Monday to Friday 08.00 – 17.00.

What will you be doing as a Specification Technologist at Avara?

As a Specification Technologist, you’ll be responsible for creating specifications for a range of customers, reviewing and approving artwork as well as ensuring deadlines are met with consistent accuracy. Working within a team you will build strong working relationships across our customer and colleague base.

What will your key responsibilities as a Specification Technologist include?

• Complete finished product specifications and approve artwork in accordance with critical paths to facilitatesuccessful product launches
• Work alongside Ingredients and Packaging Specifications Technologist to approve raw material and packagingspecifications
• Work closely with NPD to integrate with the NPD launch process to ensure successful product launches
• Internal liaison and support for Site Technical and external liaison for retail customers

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Food related Further Education qualification
• Experience of writing food specifications with knowledge of major retailers' online specification systems and criticalpaths
• Experience of retailer artwork approval systems and in-depth knowledge of the Food Information for ConsumersRegulation
• Excellent attention to detail whilst being able to organise workload to achieve key deadlines.
• Self-motivated
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels
• Food related HND – Desirable
