Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Ensure that all product specifications are completed accurately; compliant with customer policies; compliant with current legislation; and completed on time.
  • Ensure product artwork is accurate; compliant with current legislation; compliant with customer policies; updated to reflect any recipe amendments.
  • Participate in customer/internal meetings regarding new product development/existing product development to provide insight into ongoing projects (e.g., raw materials that may not comply with customer policy; products that may have out of scope nutritional profiles; any issues that may potentially jeopardise meeting the product launch date).
  • Complete Nutricalc for new product development/existing product development as required and provide a summary of the nutritional profile versus the brief (e.g., HFSS).
  • Keep up-to-date with all current legislation relating to food labelling/nutrition profiling schemes and targets.
  • Write, process and approve product specifications involving frequent interaction with suppliers regarding technical queries.
  • Interact with customers on technical issues relating to various specifications/material queries; liaise with the Supply team regarding the completion and sign-off of raw material specifications.
  • Maintain retailers' web-based online technical systems/standards and follow through on audit actions.
  • Update internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with retail customer requirements and complete GAP analysis as required.
  • Create and manage internal labels; work closely with NPD in identifying and advising on labelling non-conformances and changes required to existing packs.
  • Support with traceability exercises as required.
  • Support the internal auditing team and actively participate in regular site audits and customer visits.
  • Actively participate and be a member of the HACCP team.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with this role.
