Overview

Specification Sales Manager - Decorative Surfaces. Area to be covered: Ireland - North & Republic. Remuneration: £55,000-£60,000 Neg. + 20% Bonus. Benefits: Car allowance & full benefits.

Role

The Specification Sales Manager - Decorative Surfaces will involve:

  • Field sales position selling a manufactured range of tabletop and door laminate (HPL - high pressure laminate), waterproof bathroom & shower wall panels and kitchen worktops and other decorative surfaces.
  • 40% of time spent influencing and winning specifications with architects and interior designers.
  • Targeting hospitality (including student accommodation), healthcare, residential and education projects.
  • 40% selling into cubicle, door and washroom manufacturer/fabricator end users.
  • 20% account managing a few worktop retailers.
  • Aim to grow specification projects by circa £1m and end user manufacturers/fabricators by £1.5m.
  • Inheriting a specification pipeline of circa £10m (typical conversion rate is 30%).
  • Conducting CPD seminars.
  • No dedicated field sales presence in Ireland; you will effectively be the commercial manager for the country.
Ideal Applicant / Qualifications
  • Must have a proven track record in specification field sales with architects and interior designers.
  • Interior/decorative product background.
  • New business oriented.
  • Ideally prior experience within hospitality (including student accommodation), healthcare, residential and education projects.
  • Strategic thinker, comfortable dealing at Director level.
  • Ability to hit the ground running.
  • Looking for longevity in career.
  • Fantastic opportunity to develop professionally within a large global business.
  • Specific HPL - high pressure laminate, tabletop and door laminate, waterproof bathroom & shower wall panel and kitchen worktop industry knowledge is not essential.
  • Energy, passion and enthusiasm to work in a price orientated market.
  • Strong commercial, networking and CPD presentation skills.
