A great opportunity has arisen for a Specification Manager to join a facade specialist, focusing on securing specifications for aluminium products by collaborating closely with architectural practices and projects. The role involves working with architects, specifiers, and clients to secure commitments to use group products, utilizing extensive technical knowledge and sales skills to influence client decisions, maintaining industry relationships, and providing technical support and training to promote our aluminium products.

Specification Manager Position Remuneration

• Starting salary £45,000 - £50,000
• 28 Days holiday (including Bank Holidays, plus additional days for long service)

Specification Manager Position Overview

• Specification Acquisition: Drive the specification pipeline for aluminium facades and other key products. Engage with architects, technical specifiers, and clients to ensure early project specifications.
• Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing technical guidance and support for project integration.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research, identify new opportunities, analyze competitors, and highlight additional testing or products.
• Technical Sales: Influence client specifications through product presentations and demonstrations aligned with their needs.
• Project Support: Collaborate across the project supply chain to ensure correct interpretation and implementation of specifications, providing ongoing technical support.
• Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance product knowledge.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of specifications.
• CRM and Data Management: Use the Group CRM system to track project updates, client interactions, and outcomes.
• Support NPD Process: Use customer-facing experience to identify new product development opportunities and support sales growth.

Specification Manager Position Requirements

• 5+ years in facades specification or technical sales, focusing on aluminium facades.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across the supply chain.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction and architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to build relationships with suppliers.
• Collaborative mindset to work with sales teams to convert specifications into orders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
