Job description

Job Title: Specialty Dr in Old Age Psychiatry

Grade: Specialty Dr

Location: Gosport, Hampshire

Working Hours: 40

Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking an enthusiastic Specialty Dr in Old Age Psychiatry to work full-time hours per week for our NHS client's inpatient team based in Gosport, Hampshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for an immediate start for a short-term contract.

What will your responsibilities be?

Your key responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments of elderly patients. You will evaluate their mental health challenges, considering personal history and symptoms. Based on these assessments, you will formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.

You will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize care. Additionally, you will contribute to risk assessments and management strategies to ensure patient safety and well-being. This role requires clinical expertise and a compassionate approach.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full GMC license to practice
  • Proven experience in a relevant field
