Job Title:Specialty Dr in Forensic Psychiatry

Working Hours:40 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated Specialty Dr in Forensic Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Southampton, Hampshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.

What will your responsibilities be?

This role involves delivering specialist psychiatric care within forensic inpatient and community mental health team (CMHT) settings. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, contributing to treatment planning, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of safe and effective mental health services. The postholder will also be expected to participate in ward rounds, clinical documentation, and service development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• GMC registration (essential)
• Experience in forensic psychiatry, including inpatient and CMHT settings
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Commitment to delivering patient-centred care
