Job description

Job Title: Specialty Dr in Forensic Psychiatry

Grade: Specialty Dr

Location: Fareham, Hampshire

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking an enthusiastic Specialty Dr in Forensic Psychiatry to work with our client’s inpatient team based in Fareham, Hampshire. This locum vacancy is available for an immediate start for a short-term contract.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participating actively on the ward, including daily handover meetings, ward rounds, care program approach meetings, and unit governance meetings.
  • Assessing new referrals, providing evidence at tribunals, and preparing reports.
  • Managing duties related to the three forensic beds on Mulberry Ward.
  • Opportunity to engage in outpatient work within the community forensic service.

The medical team comprises training grade doctors (CT and ST).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full GMC license to practice.
  • Proven experience in relevant field.
