Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry to join our team in Rainham, Essex. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate psychiatrist to lead and contribute to high-quality mental health services for adults within our community. The position is available from 05/08/2024 to 05/11/2024, offering full-time hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric assessments, formulate diagnoses, and prescribe appropriate interventions.
• Provide consultation and support to primary care providers, community mental health teams, and other stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, including trainees and students.
• Participate in service development, quality improvement, and research activities to enhance mental health care for adults.

Requirements:

• Full GMC registration and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry (or eligibility).
• Significant experience as a Specialty Doctor in adult mental health services, demonstrating clinical excellence and leadership.
• Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and management of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, and personality disorders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to professional development and clinical governance.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
