A leading healthcare organization in Manchester is seeking a full-time Specialty Doctor to join a multidisciplinary team. The role involves conducting patient assessments, managing care plans, and providing supervision to junior doctors. Candidates should have a Medical Degree and full GMC registration, with relevant postgraduate experience. This position offers a competitive salary range of £59,175 to £95,400 per annum, dependent on experience.
This a full-time appointment for a Specialty Doctor to work on one of our general-adult (adults of working age- AOWA) inpatient wards (Bronte and Blake Wards in Laureate House). Successful candidates will be working with a multidisciplinary team consisting of consultant psychiatrists, psychiatry (ST and CT) /foundation/GP doctors in training, advance nurse practitioners, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, and support workers.
Clinical role
Attend ward rounds, conduct reviews, and create management plans for patients on the ward.
Complete, review and authorize discharge summaries as required.
MHA work including preparation of tribunal reports and presenting evidence at the tribunal hearings.
Assess and manage physical health for patients on the inpatient wards.
Participate in leading clinical decision making in the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
Be involved in developing service clinical priorities in line with national and professional guidance and standards.
Be involved in clinical governance related activities such as audits and quality improvement projects. Educational roles:
Provide supervision and support to doctors in training working with the team.
Provide teaching to medical students and doctors in training working in the trust.
