The successful candidate will work alongside one or two consultants, gaining exposure to a wide range of elective and trauma surgeries. The department is involved in audit and research, with opportunities for participation.

The post involves a non-resident 1:7 on-call commitment to support junior staff.

The Orthopaedic Department provides integrated services, including inpatient wards, a day-case unit, theatres, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, x-ray, and outpatient facilities.

Benefits include an onsite nursery, cycle-to-work scheme, discounts, and flexible working arrangements to accommodate personal needs.

The Isle of Wight is a stunning location offering a vibrant coastline, countryside, events, festivals, and attractions. It is accessible via a short ferry ride from the mainland, with quick rail links to London.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing comprehensive orthopaedic and trauma care under supervision.
  2. Managing orthopaedic and trauma patients daily.
