Job Description:

CPL UK Healthcare (formerly RIG Locums) is seeking a Specialty doctor in Old Age Psychiatry, NHS based in Cardiff, South Wales.

The role offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust seeks an enthusiastic Specialty doctor in Old Age Psychiatry to work full-time, ideal for those wanting to broaden their experience in community psychiatry and develop clinical skills in a supportive environment. The team is well-established with good support from senior clinical and managerial colleagues.

Clinical Duties of Post Holder

The post holder will manage care for older adults with mental health issues in clinics, community settings, and during respite in care homes, under supervision of the sector Consultant.
They will manage complex patients appropriate to their competency, provide clinical leadership with support from colleagues, and be involved in patient referral, admissions, care planning, and treatment formulation. Collaboration with other services within and outside the Directorate will be essential.

Job description and timetable available upon request. The position is immediate and ongoing, with hours of 40 per week. Rates are negotiable based on your preferences.
