Job Description:

CPL UK Healthcare (formerly RIG Locums) is seeking an Old Age Psychiatry Specialty doctor based in Cardiff, South Wales.

The role offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust seeks an enthusiastic Specialty doctor in Old Age Psychiatry to work full-time, ideal for those looking to broaden their experience in community psychiatry and develop clinical skills in a supportive environment. The team is well-established with strong support from senior clinical and managerial colleagues.

Clinical Duties:

• Manage care of older adults with mental health issues in clinics, community settings, and during respite in care homes, under supervision of sector Consultants.
• Involved in managing complex patients appropriate to their competency.
• Provide clinical leadership within the team with support from Consultants and colleagues.
• Participate in patient referrals and admissions as appropriate.
• Contribute to care planning, treatment formulation, and evidence-based practice guidance.
• Collaborate with other services within and outside the Directorate, including multidisciplinary and multi-agency working.
