Job Description:

Cpl UK Healthcare (formerly RIG Locums) is currently looking for an experienced Old Age Specialty Doctor, based at Barrow in Furness in the inpatient ward.

The role involves assessing patients referred to the service in clinic and on the ward, providing mental health care including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications, and addressing the physical health needs of patients with support from clinical practitioners, GPs, junior doctors, and specialists. You will contribute to the discharge process, including completing outpatient letters, discharge summaries, prescribing discharge medications (junior doctors will perform this), and handing over care. Suitable for those with experience in psychiatry or general practitioners with an ongoing interest in old age psychiatry.
