A national health service provider in the UK is looking for a Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of clinical psychiatry experience and will work closely with a multidisciplinary team under supervision. The role involves providing support in managing mental health issues, with opportunities for training and career advancement. Job summary: This post would be ideally suited for a doctor, who has a minimum of 2 years experience in clinical psychiatry practice, and is interested working in a specialty doctor position in psychiatry outside of a Training position.
A successful candidate would have the option of continuing ongoing work in a specialty doctor position, or considering the option of applying for Specialty Training in Psychiatry in the future.
An alternative career path would be progression as a specialty doctor and with the possibility of gaining a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) via Article 14 route once required experience can be evidenced in the future.
The post-holder will work under the supervision of a consultant psychiatrist and will be integral to a multidisciplinary team, accessing local CPD activities as appropriate.
Duties of the post: 10 PAs. The specialty doctor will work closely with the consultant psychiatrist and Multi Disciplinary team, and will provide clinical support for the assessment and management of mental health problems on a routine and emergency basis. On average 10 Programmed Activities per week will be devoted to Direct Clinical Care. Care of patients in the community in Luton CMHT area, in the Functional Model.
