The Department of Dental Medicine is delighted to invite applications for Special Doctor in Oral Medicine and Facial Pain at University College London Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our well-established and dedicated team.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will work in Oral Medicine and Facial Pain clinics, and the job plan is expected to comprise 8 Programmed Activities per week on average, to be carried out at UCLH. There is no on-call commitment

Knowledge and Qualifications
  • • Full registration with the General Dental Council of the UK (GDC) at the time of appointment and hold a current licence to practise
  • • MSc or higher training within Oral medicine
Experience
  • • Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate dental clinical experience
  • • Minimum of 1 year of postgraduate experience in an oral medicine specialist unit
  • • Experience of managing facial pain patients as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Skills and Abilities
  • • Effective application of evidence-based practice in clinical management of oral medicine and facial pain patients
  • • Ability to use IT and standard Microsoft packages
  • • Evidence of publications in peer-reviewed journals
