Job Overview

RUH’s Superregional Tuberous Sclerosis service is the largest of its kind in the UK. The service is commissioned by NHS England and accepts paediatric and adult patients from all parts of the UK and overseas. The current service is run by a Paediatric Consultant, supported by physicians in other specialties, specialist nurse and administrators. We also run satellite clinics and telemedicine consultations for overseas patients.

We also run satellite clinics and telemedicine consultations for overseas patients.

Main duties of the job

You will provide medical support to the patients under the team’s care.

The role is for 8.8PA Specialty Doctor in Tuberous Sclerosis, based in the Paediatric Department in the RUH.

You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team in TS, including consultants, research doctors, administration and specialist nurses in providing holistic care to patients under the team’s care. You will be expected to contribute to regular audits and research projects in the service.

  • Ability to take supervised responsibility for clinical care of patients
