Barnsley Hospital seeks a Specialty Doctor to join their Haematology department. This role involves assisting with ward rounds, delivering chemotherapy and bone marrow procedures, and contributing to patient management. The Specialty Doctor willplay an integral part and assist with Ward Rounds, General Haematology clinics,Chemotherapy clinics and providing Bone Marrow procedures under the directionof the Consultant Haematologists.
It is envisaged that theSpecialty Doctor will play a significant role in the risk stratification andmanagement of patients admitted to the Haematology Ward and within OutpatientClinics.
Additionally, although theprecise details of the post will vary according to the experience and wishes ofthe successful candidate, opportunities are likely to exist for participationin a wide variety of aspects of the work of the Haematology Department (includingLaboratory work, A&G and RAS referrals)
There is a strong commitmentto education and training both in the Department of Haematology and the Trustas a whole.
