University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking applicants for a full-time Specialty Doctor position in Emergency Medicine, working a 10 PA contract to start as soon as possible. Both substantive and fixed-term (1 year) contracts are available; please specify your preference in your application.

These positions offer an excellent opportunity for professional development within the Department of Emergency Medicine, which serves as the Trust’s emergency “front door”.

Main Duties (not an exhaustive list):

• Providing direct clinical care to all patients
• Formulating diagnoses and developing management strategies for each patient
• Managing patients according to ED protocols, standards, and Trust policies
• Documenting patient care clearly and accurately in written and electronic formats
• Advising and supporting junior doctors on emergency medicine
• Participating in the current shift rota pattern
• Leading and participating in clinical audits
• Engaging in annual staff appraisals
