Job Title: Specialty Doctor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Grade: Specialty Doctor
Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Settings: Inpatient CMHT
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking an enthusiastic Specialty Doctor in Child and Adolescent CAMHS Psychiatry (CMHT) to work full-time hours for our NHS client based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract.

What will your responsibilities be?

As a Specialty Doctor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the UK, your responsibilities will be broad and specialised. You will be involved in providing expert clinical assessments and diagnoses for children and adolescents experiencing complex mental health issues. Your role will include contributing to the development of comprehensive treatment plans and therapeutic interventions, alongside the management and support of multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective collaboration between healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses.

In addition, you will provide supervision and mentorship to junior staff and trainees, helping to foster their professional development. You will also engage in regular Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and adjust treatment strategies as necessary. Additionally, you may be involved in service development and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness and efficiency of CAMHS services.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • You must have a full GMC licence to practice
  • Relevant previous experience working in a similar role within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
